Vibe coding course for non-coders: what to look for

“Vibe coding” means building software by describing what you want to an AI and letting it write the code. Courses for it have appeared everywhere this year, from ₹399 recorded videos to ₹40,000 classroom programmes. This page is a checklist to use before you pay for any of them, ours included.

Try the free options first

You can learn a lot without paying for a course. You will still need a paid plan for most AI coding tools.

  • Anthropic’s own courses (Claude Code 101 and others) are free. You need a paid Claude plan to practise.
  • ccforeveryone.com is a free Claude Code course for non-technical people, taken inside Claude Code itself.
  • Replit’s Vibe Coding 101 and Great Learning’s free course cover the basics in other tools.
  • YouTube has hundreds of build-along videos. Pick one recent video and follow it to the end, which most people never do.

If you finish one of these and build something, you may not need a paid course. If you start several and finish none, a course with people and deadlines may be what’s missing.

The checklist

  1. Will you finish with something real, online? Ask what you will have at the end. A live link you can send to someone is a good answer. “Certificate” is not.
  2. Do you own what you build? Can you take the files with you, or does the work only exist inside one platform?
  3. Is the tool cost stated up front? Most courses need a paid AI plan on top of the fee (Claude Pro is about ₹2,000 a month in India). A good course says so before you pay.
  4. Does it teach you to check and undo? AI tools make mistakes. You should learn how to spot them and how to go back, from the first lesson.
  5. Is there a person to ask? When you are stuck at 11 at night, is anyone there? Recorded videos can’t answer questions.
  6. How big is the batch? Twenty people with one facilitator is a class. Five hundred on a live call is a webinar.
  7. Are the lessons up to date? These tools change monthly. Look for dates on the pages.
  8. Can you see a lesson before paying? A free lesson tells you more than any sales page.

What fees look like in India

Online courses and cohorts range from about ₹399 to ₹25,000, and classroom programmes from about ₹15,000 to ₹40,000. Free live workshops often lead to a paid programme at the end. None of these prices include the AI tool’s own plan.

How our course measures up

We wrote this list, so judge us by it too. Our class is in a room with a facilitator, in small batches. You build a website, a phone app and a short video, and put them online. You keep every file. A checker inside Claude tells you when each part of a project is done, and hints help when you are stuck. Claude Pro is needed, and the course says so before you join. The website lessons are ready now; the app and film lessons are still being written, and each batch says what it covers.

The free lesson below explains the words you will hear in any vibe coding course, such as folder, terminal, prompt and save point, in plain language.
